Plan a food trip through Terengganu
Terengganu tastes of markets, crackers and island seafood. In Kuala Terengganu, Pasar Payang sets the pace for nasi dagang, nasi kerabu, nasi minyak and keropok lekor, with a night market on Jalan Tok Lam after dark. Walk Kampung Cina and climb Bukit Puteri, then see Masjid Kristal (Crystal Mosque) and Taman Tamadun Islam (Islamic Civilisation Park) beside the water. Kemaman brings otak-otak, keropok and a Hainanese kopitiam stop, while Pulau Perhentian Kecil waits offshore with beach days and barbecue seafood.
